Former Everton manager David Moyes was sent off in West Ham United's 1-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in their Europa League semi-final second leg after losing his cool.
The incident happened in the 77th minute of Thursday night's clash as a ball boy refused to return the ball quickly enough and Moyes booted the ball back at him in frustration. Spanish referee Jesus Gil Manzano had no hesitation in sending off the Scot.
West Ham went down 3-1 on aggregate to end their impressive run in this year’s competition. In truth, their task was made almost impossible from the start as defender Aaron Creswell was sent off after just 18 minutes, changing the whole landscape of the game.

The German side scored eight minutes later and controlled the contest throughout and will now face Rangers in the Europa League final. And the night ended on a sour note for Moyes as he angrily asked for the ball back from a ball boy before blasting it back in his direction, earning himself a red card.
"I kicked a ball back at a ball boy so I apologise for that," Moyes said to BT Sport (h/t Goal ). "He threw it very softly at me."
In his press conference, he added: "He left it short, it was nicely on the volley for me, but I apologise for it.
"I didn’t hit him, I think I just bent it past him. He threw it very short when he could've thrown me the ball, he chose to leave it short but as I said, I apologise for that but it was a big game we were trying to win tonight."
