David Martindale has backtracked on his statement claiming Celtic are the only Scottish Premiership side with the "divine right" to be winning every game.
The Livingston boss made that admission after St Johnstone shocked Rangers on Sunday to put a dent on the Light Blues title hopes. Martindale's men are going for their third straight victory when they face Hearts in their final game before the World Cup break, after registering an impressive 2-1 win over Aberdeen in midweek which propelled the Lions into fourth in the table. But he insists it's not easy for most club's to rack up a run of form due to the competitive nature of the league and reiterated that the reason he used Celtic as a sole example was because of their excellent current form of just one defeat from 14 games this season.
Martindale said: "Hopefully we do get to three games. "It's difficult. I spoke about it earlier but I think I came across slightly wrong in the respect I said Celtic have got the divine right to pick points up. They've not got a divine right but they are probably the team with the highest probability of winning on a Saturday going on their current form and momentum.
"Everybody else, anybody can beat anybody on any given day so it's a highly competitive league. Getting these three games on the bounce is really really difficult for probably outside the Old Firm. So it's a really big ask as Hearts will be looking for three points and we are looking for three points so it should be a good game of football."
