David Haye has admitted he could be going through a midlife crisis as he reflected on finding himself lately “drawn to new experiences”.
The retired professional heavyweight boxer, 42, has hit headlines recently following reports he was in a three-way relationship with girlfriend Siân Osborne, 30, and singer Una Healy, 42.
Healy however was said to have wanted out of the “throuple” after growing concerned about the negative attention they were getting from it.
Haye appears to have put any heartache behind him and has since been sunning it up in Saint Martin where he and Osborne attended the SXM Festival together.
Uploading photos and videos from the trip to Instagram, he wrote: “As I enter the next phase of my life, I find myself drawn to new experiences and seeking out the unknown.
“In this instance, I have found myself on the idylic Caribbean island of Saint Martin [...] It has been an invigorating experience and the people here have been nothing but welcoming, respectful and kind.”
The London-born athlete added that he had not initially been keen to attend the electro house festival but “took the plunge”. He continued: “I embraced the positive energy and uplifting ambiance”.
This led to one of his followers commenting: “Midlife crisis David?”
Instead of choosing to ignore their remark, he replied: “Maybe so mate. All those years of dedication to my sport, time to explore all that I missed. I can’t fit in a Ferrari so a festival it is”.
