David de Gea sends explosive warning and questions Manchester United dressing room

David de Gea has told the uncommitted Manchester United players to leave the club this summer.

United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this term. They finished the season with their lowest points total in a Premier League season instead and they only qualified for Europa League football on the final day thanks to Brighton.

Crystal Palace beat United 1-0 on Sunday afternoon, but Brighton beat West Ham 3-1 and that result at the Amex ensured Europa League football. It has been a disastrous season at United and one that couldn't have ended quick enough for supporters.

De Gea was asked about United's season after the Palace defeat and he sent a fiery warning to the club's dressing room. The Spaniard instructed the uncommitted players to leave this summer for the health and future of United.

"It's the same feeling. The level we have shown in the last three or four months isn't enough to win a Premier League match, we were sloppy, we lost some easy balls around our box, it's impossible to win the games," De Gea told MUTV.

"I just want to be positive, to forget about this season. The new manager [Erik ten Hag] was in the stands, so that's a good signal. I hope things will get better for next season - that's the past already. We all know it's been a bad season, for everyone.

"The people who don't want to stay, just go, and the people who really want to stay at the club, who want to fight for the club, let's have a good rest in the summer, prepare ourselves in the mind and in the body and be ready to fight again next season."
