David De Gea has smashed Shay Given's record as being the youngest goalkeeper in Premier League history to reach 400 games in the competition.
The Manchester United shot-stopper made his 400th appearance in Sunday's 2-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road, which saw Erik ten Hag's side rise briefly to second in the table.
At 32 years and 97 days, De Gea beats the previous record held by Given. The Irish legend made his 400th appearance in the competition against Wigan Athletic in 2010 aged 33 years and 335 days.

Given had taken the record from David James, who made his 400th appearance aged 34 years and 247 days.
Remarkably, De Gea has made all 400 of his appearances for the Red Devils. Given on the other hand, had already made 354 appearances for Newcastle and 2 for Blackburn Rovers before reaching appearance number 400 during his time at Manchester City.
It was a special day all told for De Gea, as he made his 512th appearance for United in all completions.
This has him 10th on the all time appearance list, although he’ll do well to catch Ryan Giggs who leads the way having played 963 times for United between 1991 and 2014
