David Beckham shared a picture of himself as a young boy with a beloved family member - but fans have been confusing her with Princess Diana. The football superstar shared the picture of himself and his mum Sandra on Instagram to celebrate her birthday.
It shows the two of them standing in a football club changing room. Beckham is wearing a Manchester United tracksuit and is holding his kitbag, while Sandra is wearing the best of 1980s fashion.
Despite posting the picture as a special birthday message to his mum, Becks couldn't help taking the mickey a little bit. In the post, he said: "Happy Birthday mum hope you have the most amazing day we all love u so much. Nice hair & velour tracksuit @sandra_beckham49."

Victoria Beckham jumped into the comments to wish Sandra a happy birthday too. She said: "We love u Sandra!! Happy birthday xxx."
But with her blonde hair cut into a bixie cut, many fans were quick to point out that Sandra looked a lot like the late Princess Diana.
Thefirstjz said: "Your mom looks so much like Princess Diana." Naharnasir agreed, adding: "Man, she looks like Princess Diana."
Others were quick to join Beckham in some light mockery. A few were keen to point out the benefits of 80s fashion.
