David Beckham explored an attempt to sign Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo this summer after the Reds failed to make the Champions League.
Reports had suggested that Ronaldo was unhappy at Old Trafford and that he was seeking a move away from Manchester this summer. However, MEN Sport reported on Saturday that Ronaldo was not for sale at any price and that the club are confident of keeping hold of their Portuguese ace this transfer window.
According to the Daily Star, as well as Chelsea and Bayern Munich being interested in United's star man was also wanted by Beckham who co-owns MLS side Inter Miami. They claim that Ronaldo has snubbed a move to the USA following the reports of United wanting to keep the legendary forward.

They understand Ronaldo is set to exercise his option of adding a further 12 months onto his contract which will currently expire at the end of next season. United's manager Erik ten Hag will likely meet the 37-year-old at Carrington on Monday as the Reds start their pre-season training.
The Star's report adds that Ten Hag will seek to reassure Ronaldo that his immediate future is at Old Trafford when he does eventually meet the forward. The Dutchman is reportedly possibly willing to offer him the captain's armband to help convince Ronaldo that he is in his plans.
