David Beckham could create Lionel Messi reunion at Inter Miami amid Cristiano Ronaldo links

Sergio Busquets is currently competing in what will likely be his last ever World Cup, but could it also be his final season at Barcelona as well? The Nou Camp icon is being heavily linked with a move to David Beckham's Inter Miami.

The Spain midfielder's contract expires in June and he is currently weighing up his options. He could choose to extend with the Catalan club who he has played for his entire career so far, but he may choose to move across the Atlantic and play in the MLS instead.

Speaking before Spain's second match against Germany, Busquets told Cadena Ser : "I know it's the last year [of my contract], but I have always said that I have nothing signed with anyone."

He continued: "I would like to have some certainty by February. I have always said I would like to play in the United States, above all in Miami, but from there I have not reached any agreement with any club - in the US or in any other league. Barcelona will be the first to know. When I have made a decision, I will tell them."

I he was to join Inter Miami, he could be reunited with his friend and former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, who has also been heavily linked with a move to the United States.

Messi's team denied that there were any talks with Beckham -owned Miami but the player has stated in the past: "I would like to play in the United States one day; it’s always been one of my dreams."

Cristiano Ronaldo is also looking for a new club after he parted ways with Manchester United last month and Miami have been tipped to make a move for the Portuguese forward. The 37-year-old currently has an offer on the table from Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia but like Busquets he will likely wait till after the World Cup to make a decision.

Any such move would vastly improve the profile of Beckham's franchise, who are managed by his former United teammate Phil Neville.
