David Beckham back at Tottenham! Legend pictured at Spurs training with Harry Kane and Mauricio Pochettino

David Beckham appears to be stopping at nothing when it comes to making sure Liverpool fail to win their sixth European Cup next week.

Liverpool face off against Tottenham in the Champions League Final on June 1, with one of the Premier League rivals set to lift the most coveted prize in European club football.

Tottenham secured their spot in the showpiece match in Madrid with a stunning comeback against Ajax in Amsterdam, with Lucas Moura's second-half hat-trick rescuing Spurs from the dead.

As for Liverpool, they pulled off one of the all-time European comebacks as they shocked Barcelona with a 4-0 win at Anfield to knock out Lionel Messi & Co.

Liverpool are favourites for the Final given their stunning Premier League campaign, with Jurgen Klopp's side finishing runners-up to Manchester City despite claiming an incredible 97 points.

With that in mind, Beckham - a Champions League winner with Manchester United in 1999 - was perhaps hoping to give a little extra motivation to Mauricio Pochettino's squad when he headed to Tottenham's Hotspur Way training ground on Wednesday.

Beckham may have been there in his official role as an ambassador for AIA Group - Spurs' sponsors - but looked delighted to chat with the likes of Pochettino and Harry Kane, with the England striker confident he will be fit for the final.

Beckham posted a picture of himself along with Pochettino on Instagram with the caption: "Great to spend the morning with Mauricio today... Thank you for welcoming me and showing me around the amazing training complex ... What a gentleman ...".

Kane posted a photo with himself and Beckham on Instagram, calling the former England captain "... a real legend of the game!"

It remains to be seen whether Beckham will make a similar trip to Liverpool's training ground before the final, but it's not looking likely.

Beckham spent part of his youth career at Spurs until he signed for Manchester United in 1991, while he trained with Spurs in January and February 2011 during MLS close season to ensure he was fit for MLS Galaxy.
