Dave King admits Rangers facing Liverpool in the Champions League is his dream match as he hailed Ibrox as the top stadium on a European night.
The former Light Blues chairman will be in attendance at both games in Glasgow and at Anfield on Tuesday night as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men bid to get off the mark in the group stage after heavy defeats to Ajax and Napoli. In both those games they have conceded seven goals in total and are yet to find the net.
King admits Rangers are his No1 side with Liverpool a close second as he described the Battle of Britain clashes to come as 'incredible occasions'. They go into the first meeting between the pair full of confidence after thrashing Hearts at Tynecastle while Jurgen Klopp's men continued their difficult start with a share of the spoils in a six goal thriller against Brighton.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, King said: “It’s my intention to attend both games, myself and my family.
“I’ve already organised tickets through the club, they have been very kind to give me tickets for the Ibrox game, and I’m obviously working on the Anfield game too.
“It will be an incredible occasion because I’m not aware, certainly in my lifetime, of the two clubs meeting in a competitive match.
“Rangers are my No 1 team, but Liverpool are my No 2 team — so for me this is a dream match.
“There’s only one team I’d even be remotely comfortable with beating Rangers in the Champions League and that’s Liverpool.
“I’m hoping we can give them a really good game, making it as competitive as possible.
“The atmosphere on both nights will be something truly special.
“I’ve been to Anfield on some very memorable nights, but I’ll tell you what, Ibrox is still better.
“I don’t think there’s a better stadium out there on a European night than Ibrox.
“I don’t think anything else comes close. I love Anfield and love the history, everything about it — but Ibrox is still better.”
