A representative for Dave Grohl has spoken out to deny a woman’s claim that her baby is that of the Foo Fighters musician after he publicly announced he had fathered a child with a woman outside his marriage via Instagram earlier this week.
Days after his announcement, a social media user with the handle @valeriegreyston shared a now-deleted photo of a baby holding a mother’s hand.
In the caption, she claimed that the baby — whose name was supposedly Roxie Junie Grohl — belonged to Grohl.
“My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life,” the post began. “Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role.”
She claimed Grohl was “by [her] side through the entire pregnancy,” saying she was “grateful for his love and support.”
Grohl’s representative has now released a statement to TMZ, insisting that the child in the picture does not belong to Grohl and the IG user is making the whole thing up.

It comes after friends of Dave Grohl spoke out to various outlets with behind-the-scenes tea on what was happening.
One pal told Daily Mail that this is most “uncharacteristic” of Grohl, adding that doing something so “tacky” must have been a result of the grief he was experiencing from recently losing his friend and Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins, as well as his mother.
Meanwhile another mate told goss guru Deuxmoi that “to say we are all upset and disappointed is an understatement.”

In Grohl’s original post, which was shared to his Instagram, he wrote:
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.
“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together.”
