Kate Hudson has reportedly been offering support to Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn Blum following his recent admission of fathering a child with another woman.
“[Hudson] was shocked and appalled that at Dave’s age, he’s still cheating—not only on Jordyn but on their daughters as well,” a source told the MailOnline on Thursday.
The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, has been married to Blum since 2003, and the couple share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
The insider also alleged the Almost Famous actress, 45, sent Blum “a huge basket of balloons with personalized phrases on them including ‘Stay Strong,'” to cheer her up.
The source added: “Kate told Jordyn she’s there for her 24/7 and not to hesitate to pick up the phone even if it’s for a good cry or if she needs her to come over for a hug and a heart to heart.
“Kate would stay with her in a heartbeat if she asked.”
Blum is known for keeping a low profile, so details about her friendship with Hudson are scarce. However, the two were spotted together in February 2023 at the Adidas Stella McCartney Party in Los Angeles.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Hudson for comment.
The report comes the couples eldest daughters deleted their Instagram accounts after Grohl admitted cheating on their mother and fathering a baby girl “outside of my marriage”.
The American musician made the admission on his own social media account, saying: “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Grohl, who first shot to fame as the drummer in Nirvana, married Jordyn Blum in 2003 and the couple have three daughters - Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Violet and Harper removed their social media accounts as their father used his to tell fans: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
Grohl was previously married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 until 1997.
He played drums in the pioneering grunge band Nirvana from 1990 until 1994 when lead singer Kurt Cobain ended his life aged 27.
He went on to form Foo Fighters as a guitarist and singer and has scored a number of chart-topping albums including their most recent effort, 2023’s But Here We Are.
In 2022, Violet shared the stage with her father’s band when she gave an emotional rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah to open a special tribute concert to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in Los Angeles.
Hawkins, 50, was found dead in his hotel room in Colombia in March of that year.
