Now that the dust has settled, Davante Adams is happy to be with the New York Jets.
The Jets landed the All-Pro receiver in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders this week. It’s expected that he will be able to play in New York’s upcoming matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.
Adams admitted it was a lot of up-and-downs to get to this point but he’s happy everything has been settled.
“It was time for a change. This whole things transpired a bit weird but, at the end of the day, we’re in a better place,” Adams said. “Definitely been a roller coaster.”
It had been extensively reported that Adams wanted to head to a team which had one of his former quarterbacks on their roster, making the Jets a prime potential landing spot. Adams is happy to be linked back up with Aaron Rodgers in New York.
Jets head coach Jeff Ulbrich is excited to see what the combo still have, too.
“Their connection and their chemistry between the two of those guys is just so unique. They spent so much time together for one, but for two, they’re both high football IQ guys that really can take their connection to another space,” Ulbrich said via video conference.
