Daughter's desperate plea to find missing Dundee mum last seen in her pyjamas as police continue search

A terrified Tayside woman has pleaded with the public to trace her vulnerable mother, who has gone missing after last being seen in her pyjamas in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Sharon Hutchison, 54, was last seen in the Dens Road area of Dundee around 6am on Saturday, and her daughter Ashleigh is growing increasingly concerned for her safety. Police in the city have appealed to the public to help them in their bid to trace Sharon.

Worried daughter Ashleigh Hutchison took to Facebook to give more details on her mum's disappearance and ask for anyone with information to come forward.

In the post, which has been shared more than 2,300 times, Ashleigh wrote: "If anyone has seen my mum recently please can you let one of us know. Police are involved and are currently looking for her.

"She does not have her phone or purse with her but may have cash with her. Nobody has seen or heard from her since Saturday morning. She has gone missing from home which is in the Dens Road area (next to Dens Park ).

"Unsure of what she is wearing as was in pjs last time anyone seen her. Everyone knows her history so any help from anyone would be grateful. If you cannot contact myself please contact Tayside Police. Thank you."

Sharon is described as 5ft1in tall, of slim build with long brown hair, and also wears glasses.

Sharon previously went missing in Dundee in November 2020, later being traced safe and well after another heartfelt plea from Ashleigh.

Inspector Lucy Cameron from Longhaugh Police station in Dundee said “We are growing increasingly concerned for Sharon. She was last seen at her home address on the morning of Saturday July 30, at 6am.

"Any person with information that could help us trace Sharon is asked to call 101 quoting incident reference number PS-20220730-2428, or speak to any officer.”
