A daughter of a woman kidnapped in Ukraine has pleaded for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's help after her mum was believed to have been captured by Russian troops.
Anna-Sofia Puzanova, 18, has appealed for her mum Yuliia Paievska's release after the Ukrainian paramedic is thought to have been kidnapped.
During Harry and Meghan's visit to the Invictus Games, Anna made the appeal of mum Yuliia Paievska in the Dutch City of the Hague.
President Zelensky gave special leave the front line to five of Ukraine's team of 19 athletes to the Netherlands to take part in the sporting event, and Paievska, 52, was due to compete as part of the Ukrainian team before Russia invaded.
The 18-year old said her mother had been captured by the Russian troops near Mariupol on March 16.
She said: "And now she’s probably in Russia. To be honest I don’t know exactly where she is because we don’t have any contact with her.
“I really miss her. I really care about this because I don’t know how to help her by myself except giving interviews and sharing information.”
Paievska is the founder and leader of Taira’s Angels, a volunteer medical evacuation unit that rescues the wounded, both military and civilian.
Her daughter said that her mother was a “very kind and brave person”.
She said: “She’s a very strong woman. Her life mission is helping people.”
The daughter made the emotional plea as she said: “Bring back my mum to me.”
Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions company is capturing the story of Puzanova, who is being filmed for a Netflix documentary called Heart Of Invictus, which is revealing the stories of the people competing at the event.
According to Puzanova, Harry and Meghan are aware of the situation with her mother missing and said the couple were offering "a lot of support".
Prince Harry had wished Puzanova a happy birthday, she said, as she turns 19 on Monday.
