Millions of Income Support claimants across the UK should expect to receive extra financial support from the government this autumn.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will soon roll out the second half of the £650 cost of living payment for people on a wide variety of benefits from November. It comes after millions in the UK already received the first half of £326 in July this year.
Fortunately, the payments will be landing in people's bank accounts as they face harsher energy bills and a higher cost of living. However, not everyone receiving Income Support will get the second cost of living payment.

Who is eligible for the Cost of Living Payment on Income Support?
You will automatically be eligible for the second payment if you were entitled to a payment - or later found to be entitled - of Income Support for an assessment period that ended in the period between August 26, 2022 to September 25, 2022.
When will people on Income Support get the second Cost of Living Payment?
If you are eligible for the second cost of living payment and receive Income Support, then you should expect to see the payment land in your account between November 8 and 23, 2022.
You may receive the payment at a later date if you are awarded a qualifying Income-based JSA or you change the account your benefit is paid into - the payment will be made automatically so you don't need to apply.
