The date and time for the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 17 matchup with the New York Giants has now officially been set.
Initially, the date and time of this matchup was listed as ‘to be determined,’ with this matchup being one of five potential games that could have been played on the Saturday of Week 17.
But instead, kickoff for this game, which will be a road game for the Colts at MetLife Stadium, will be at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday December 29th.
Although things may look bleak for the Colts at this moment, with them coming off a devastating loss to Denver in Week 15 that included a colossal second-half collapse by the offense, this game against the Giants in less than two weeks could still mean something when it comes to Indianapolis’ playoff hopes.
While NFL.com has the Colts’ chances of making the playoffs at only 10 percent, there is a path to getting there that involves help from the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Giants will enter this upcoming week at 2-12 on the season, having lost their last nine games, and will face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Due to benching and eventually release of Daniel Jones along with injuries at the quarterback position, the Giants have had four different quarterbacks take snaps over the last five games.
