Date and time of first Clement press conference after Rangers cup exit confirmed

Philippe Clement will face the media tomorrow afternoon for Rangers' pre-match press conference.

The Ibrox boss will appear at the club press event on Friday afternoon - his first appearance since post-match interview after the loss to Queen's Park.

Clement has come under major scrutiny since the shock Scottish Cup exit to the Scottish Championship side on Sunday.

Now, it has been confirmed that Clement will face questions from journalists in a press conference at 2.30pm on Friday, February 14.

A player will also be put up by the club to help preview the match against Hearts this weekend.

Rangers hold a press conference every week ahead of league or cup matches. Clement was joined by Cyriel Dessers for last week's press conference but it is not yet known which player will be present after training tomorrow.

It's understood Clement will not be dismissed by Rangers this week, which means he will be expected to field questions from the media in a press conference on Friday.

Rangers chief executive Patrick Stewart has been warned of a swell of fan discontent after the Scottish Cup loss.

The Ibrox CEO met with the Fan Advisory Board to discuss a "wide range of club issues and concerns".

The group then contacted the club "to convey the strength of fan sentiment following that unacceptable result" in a clear message to the leadership team at Ibrox.
