Darwin Nunez returned to his hometown this weekend to take part in a match for charity.
The Liverpool forward missed the Reds' final three matches of the Premier League season due to a toe injury, left unable to play a part in the team's late push for a Champions League finish.
Nunez has received mixed reviews following his first season on Merseyside, though can be pleased with his return of 15 goals and four assists during what has been a testing year for the club.

With the 2022/23 campaign now over for Jurgen Klopp's men, the striker has taken the time to return to his place of birth: Artigas, a small city in Uruguay.
Participating in a game to support local families in need of food supplies, the 23-year-old received a hero's welcome from those in attendance at the Estadio Matías González.. Pictures showed him in action wearing the no.9 shirt.
Discussing his pride at being invited to attend this event, Nunez told Telenoche: "The truth is that I am very happy, it is something very nice to see all these people who come to accompany the benefit game with the boys who came out champions. I love coming to my land, and always being able to contribute my bit to help."
On returning to Uruguay, where he has not played since leaving Peñarol in 2019, the Reds' No.27 added: "I hope one day, when I retire, to return to Artigas and be able to play here and enjoy my family."
New Uruguay manager Marcelo Bielsa recently decided not to name Nunez in his inaugural squad for the upcoming friendlies against Nicaragua and Cuba later this month, which gives the attacker an extended break until he reports back for Liverpool duty in July.
