Darwin Nunez has now found the back of the net in each of his last four starts for Liverpool, but his latest effort didn't stop the flow of strange criticism coming his way after the Reds progressed to the last-16 of the Champions League with victory over Ajax on Wednesday night.
Indeed, BT Sport pundits spent a significant portion of the post-match show debating the striker's effectiveness after a huge miss in the first half was atoned for with a strike in the second.

And over in Ireland, former Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney went further, labelling the Uruguayan 'soft' and admitting he's 'yet to be sold' on Liverpool's new striker.

'Could get messy' - Chris Sutton sends Liverpool blunt Leeds United warning as bold prediction made
Liverpool have been tipped to claim a five-goal win over Leeds United this weekend.
The Reds take on Leeds at Anfield in their Premier League clash on Saturday night. Liverpool go into the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Ajax in the Champions League.
However, Liverpool’s last top flight outing saw Liverpool lose 1-0 to Nottingham Forest last weekend. That result was the Reds’ third league defeat of the campaign, and leaves them in eighth place in the league table.
Despite Liverpool’s form in the league, renowned pundit Chris Sutton has predicted a big win for the Reds. The former Blackburn striker has tipped a 6-1 win for Klopp’s team, following on from their 6-0 victory in the same fixture last season.
