Darwin Nunez has sent a message to the Liverpool supporters after being named as the club's player of the month for February.
The striker topped a poll on Liverpoolfc.com voted for by Reds fans as he finished above Stefan Bajcetic and Mohamed Salah.
Nunez added to his Premier League tally with the opening goal in the vital 2-0 win away at Newcastle United before superbly flicking the ball into the net of Real Madrid's in the Champions League last-16 clash.

After collecting the award, Nunez praised the Liverpool supporters, saying: "First of all, I'd like to thank the fans for that because as soon as you come out to warm up and then you hear your name being sung by the fans, it's just incredible and it gives me goosebumps.
"I've never heard anything like that before. It's really great for me and my wife, too. Even she has said to me, 'it's incredible how they support you and are always behind you'. She always says to me that when I was struggling a bit with form in the first few games, the fans were always showing their support for me.
"They never gave up on me and were always onboard with me. Now it's all about thanking them and trying to make these fans as happy as possible."
Nunez's March has started well, too, with the Uruguay international bagging a headed brace in last weekend's historic 7-0 success over Manchester United.
