Darvel made the Scottish Cup headlines with a five goal romp at Links Park yesterday.
Mick Kennedy's West of Scotland League leaders thumped five past Montrose as they strolled into Round Four in the result of the day.
Cameron Eadie's early opener was cancelled out by Terry Masson for Montrose, but from there it was all the visitors.
Ian McShane and Ross Caldwell put Darvel in charge at the break, before McShane's second of the game had them on easy street.
Craig Brown pulled back a consoltation for Montrose late on before Andy Stirling completed the rout in the closing moments.
Darvel boss Kennedy hailed his side after the game, tweeting: "As I always say the people you share the success with, is more important than the success.
"What a group of players, blessed to have them with me."
And assistant Craig McEwan added: "To a man we were excellent. To go there and play our style and take the game to Montrose shows what this team is all about. On to the next round we go."
Elsewhere in Scottish Cup action, Auchinleck Talbot were beaten 3-0 by Championship side Raith Rovers.
A second half Aidan Connolly hat trick broke Talbot hearts after they held their own at Stark's Park for more than an hour.
The third round concludes tomorrow night when Ayr United face Pollok at Somerset Park, live on BBC Scotland.
