Steph Curry is often discussed among the best players in the NBA and is widely seen as the best shooter in league history. However, Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic also believes the Golden State Warriors star is one of the most impactful players to ever grace the NBA.
Rajakovic’s statement came after the Warriors defeated the Raptors on Friday (March 1). During that game, Curry scored 25 points, dished out 6 assists, and grabbed 6 rebounds. He also shot 40.9% from the field and 46.7% from the field. As such, Rajakovic was honest in his assessment when asked about Curry’s wider impact during his post-game interview.
“He would be on the top of the list,” Rajakovic said. “I think Michael Jordan, he definitely changed basketball. But Steph Curry is the player that’s on the top of that list. You just did not have a guard of that size with, that shooting ability, with that shooting range that completely changed the game. Obviously, you’ve had very talented players along the way, but not to the degree that this guy completely changed the landscape of the league.”
Curry, 35, continues to impress with his exceptional scoring ability and consistency. He has been a rare bright spot in a difficult season for Golden State and remains one of the best players in the league despite entering the final phase of his career.

The impact Curry has had one the NBA will continue to be seen around the league for years to come. He helped usher in the three-point revolution, and will continue to prove why there’s never been another shooting threat like him. Still, it’s likely that Curry is only focused on winning a fifth championship, as he continues to build his legacy.
