Danny Jones has broken his silence after he was spotted sharing what appeared to be a ‘drunken kiss’ with Maura Higgins.
The McFly star, 39, took to social media on Friday to apologise to his wife Georgia Horsley and family, for “putting them in this situation”.
The musician and ex-Love Islander hit headlines after being caught on film seemingly locking lips on March 1 during the Universal Music’s Brit Awards after party.
Danny’s full statement on Instagram read: “Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
Model and podcast star Georgia - who has been married to Jones for 10 year - is said to have been left “humiliated” by the incident with Higgins.
In addition to swerving a planned live Q&A at the Baby Show, she was also absent from the latest episode of podcast Mum’s the Word, which she co-hosts weekly with Kelsey Parker.
Higgins is currently in Los Angeles working, but is said to “deeply regret” her embrace with married Jones and called the move “stupid”.
Just hours before the apology, Maura shared a series of sexy posts online.
Sporting a cowgirl outfit, she was seen leaning over a truck, gripping a bottle of beer, with her hair styled in beachy waves.
