It’s going to take a lot more than just flowers with Danny Jones and wife Georgia reportedly locked in crisis talks this week following his apparent drunken kiss with Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
The McFly star’s other half - who he has been with for 10 years and shares seven-year-old son Cooper - is said to have been left “humilliated” after he was caught on film locking lips with his former I’m A Celebrity co-star last weekend.
She has also reportedly pulled out of a planned live Q&A at the Baby Show this Saturday at London’s Excel with Mum’s the Word podcast co-host Kelsey Parker as she’s so “mortified”.
Now, as they battle to save their relationship, a source has told The Sun: “This saga has been embarrassing and Danny had a lot of explaining to do.
“Danny and Georgia have been together for a long time and have spoken about that night. They are keen to just move past it and get on with their lives.”
They added to the publication: “Danny and Georgia are both committed to each other and are moving on with their lives.”
The couple have yet to address the issue publicly.
The Standard has contacted representatives for the Jones’ and Higgins for comment.
The video, which was shared by The Sun and reportedly taken just before 3am on March 2 shows the McFly star and Higgings standing close to each other in the venue's foyer and leaning in to chat before he appears to give her a quick kiss.
They were then seen leaving the venue as part of a larger group including his bandmate Tom Fletcher, with Higgins then heading home alone in a taxi.
An onlooker told the publication of the interaction: “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.
“Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle. They were talking and laughing for ages.”
It has been reported that they sat at different tables for the actual ceremony which was held earlier in the night at the London O2 Arena.
