Danny Dyer said he is still paying his daughter Dani Dyer 's phone bill after 13 years.
The former EastEnders star made the revelation during his and Dani’s podcast, Sorted with the Dyers, as he realised he had been forking out for the expensive bill every month, despite his daughter moving out of the family home years ago.
“I am still paying your phone bill. I didn't even know I was. The fact I didn't know, it was a complete revelation to me,” Danny said.
Former Love Island star Dani insisted it had been a misunderstanding, and was adamant she could pay her way, thanks to earning thousands of pounds through her TV appearances and her clothing collection with In The Style.
“We need to discuss this, actually. Why are you still paying that? I've said to you I will pay my phone bill. I don't know how this has happened,” she told her dad.
“It's because we're all under the same contract thing, Mummy says. So it all comes out together,” Dani explained.
The 44-year-old actor then realised just how long her’d been paying for his daughter’s phone bill, as he exclaimed: “When did you first get a phone?... I've been paying your phone bill for 13 years!”
Later on in the episode, the Football Factory star - who also shares kids Sunnie, 14, and Arty, eight, with his wife Jo Mas - poked fun at Dani for remaining coy about her romance with West Ham United pro footballer Jarrod Bowen.
Lifelong Hammers fan Danny joked he is probably “more in love” with the Premier League player than his own daughter is, and teased her for falling for the footballer.
“I like Valentine's Day. I think it's beautiful. It's a bit set menu-y and you go out and it's all couples around. But I love the cringe stuff,” Dani shared.
Her confession prompted dad Danny to pounce, as he grilled her over her new romance.
“So you are alluding to the fact you're in love at the moment? I know you go very shy around this and maybe one day we will discuss it properly, but it's interesting, I'm probably more in love with you boyfriend than you are,” he quipped.
He then confessed he had “never been single”, and was dating someone even when he and Jo briefly split.
“I've never been single. That's f***ed that, isn't it? I might email Sorted with the Dyers myself and ask myself how I feel about that,” he laughed.
