EastEnders' star Danniella Westbrook has shown off the results of her facial reconstruction surgery after a 'terrifying few days'.
The mum-of-two, 49, underwent a gruelling procedure in a bid to restore her features, which have been left ravaged by years of drug abuse.
Recovering in Portugal, sporting a blue bikini, the actress' face looked swollen as she took a dip in the pool.
As she dried off her hair, Danniella looked deep in thought as she lets the healing process begin.
The photos come after the actress underwent liposuction in her cheeks and lips, fat grafting on her chin and jawline refinement after her septum collapsed.
However, Danniella told fans she'd only been in Portugal for a few hours before she was back in hospital.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, she wrote: "Only I could land back in Portugal after surgery only to end up in hospital.
"The pain I've experienced is unreal, most frightening few days. Need it like a hole in the head, literally."
When Danniella first woke up after the surgery, she said she looked 'like she'd done 10 rounds with boxer Tyson Fury '.
Speaking about her concern ahead of going under the knife, she told The Sun : "I was very fearful. My mum and my son Kai were on the phone constantly - I wrote up a will before I left and my son is the executor of that.
"But luckily I’m still here and I’ve come through the other side. Someone is looking over me. I looked like I’d gone 10 rounds with Tyson Fury.
"But the swelling has actually gone down really quickly. I’m already happy with the results."
Ahead of the procedure, Danniella posted a message to fans on her Instagram page, saying: "This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself.
"Major surgery in 24 hours it’s all about my time now #westie."
The actress is looking forward to her future as she awaits her jailbird fiancé David's release from prison.
She plans to wed her beau and even posted a video of the dress she had chosen on her Instagram page.
Writing in the caption, the actress said: "Chosen the dress, had my first fitting, ordered and now to confirm venues and start the planning …… #timetogether @Westie’sWedding #mrsandmrs #mrs".
Danniella sparked split speculation recently when she posted a photo of Cardi B accepting an award with the caption: "Me winning the award for having the worst taste in men."
In another post to her Instagram stories, she shared a photo of Marilyn Monroe with the words: "When only the best will do."
However a representative for Danniella told The Mirror: "Danniella is very much still with her partner David and they have not split."
