Danniella Westbrook 'scared' on the way to Aintree hospital

Danniella Westbrook has revealed she is on the way to Aintree hospital.

The former EastEnders actress regularly keeps her Instagram followers updated on her health - and has previously revealed how the bones in her face were rotting.

Danniella is undergoing a "four-part journey of reconstructive surgery " and wowed fans when she showed off the results of the treatment on a birthday night out in Liverpool last year.

The 48-year-old told OK! last month the next operation will "take its toll" on her as she is set to have part of her rib put in her cheek.

She revealed on her Instagram Stories today that she was on the way to Aintree hospital for a consultation ahead of the surgery.

She said: "I'm off to the hospital in Aintree to get my next consultation for the next part of my operation for the bone doctor to put a bone in here.

"A bit scary but I'm excited. I can't wait to get all these operations done and get the hell back to work."

Danniella later shared an update from the waiting room to heap praise on the Aintree -based medical centre.

She said: "Cleanest hospital I've ever been in."

Danniella underwent surgery at the hospital last year and issued a heartfelt thanks to staff at Aintree.

She tweeted: "Thanks for all the messages of support for my operation. It was a huge success and I'm so happy thank you to @LivHospitals"
