The mum-of-two had managed to stay sober for 14 years. But, sadly, in September 2021, she admitted she had relapsed after coming out of rehab and was seeking help to get sober again. More recently she appears to be doing well and has even got back on the dating scene as she has got into a relationship with a Liverpool prisoner.
Posting on Instagram today, she wrote: "Front cover feature in Another Lads mag (front magazine). Boobs were way too big and way too heavy! What was I thinking back then? Must of had serious body dysmorphia as was obsessed back then that they wasn’t big enough!"
She added: "Seriously girls if I could go back I would say embrace who you are we all change year to year as we age. Embrace the time you're in and the body you're in... If I could go back to even 10 years before this shoot knowing what I know now and knowing how important health is, I would never of had so many unnecessary procedures nor would I have contaminated my body mind and health with drugs.
"All I’m saying is embracing who you are how you look at the age you are will pay off when you reach your late 40’s. Your state of mind will be at peace, your health will be god willing in tact and your look good because beauty shines from the inside out. Be kind to yourself people you're worth it."
Fans were quick to praise the actress for her honest and open post. Lianne said: "I love that we can comment! I personally think you look amazing but you’re clearly happier and healthier in your mind now than you was then and I think that’s most important. Beautiful then and now x"
Another user said: "Such good advice my darling, I'm proud of how far you've come." Meanwhile, Anne-Marie said: "Well said Danielle. Learning to love and accept the way we look is so impossible."
