Danniella Westbrook has revealed she is gearing up for "major surgery" that will help to correct her "collapsing face".
The EastEnders actress, 49, admitted it was "about time" she had the procedure as she has spent several weeks preparing herself by taking a relaxing holiday to Portugal.
The former soap star, who played Sam Mitchell, is said to have undergone facial surgeries in the past in an effort to treat the effects of osteoporosis and previous cocaine addiction.
Danniella has headed out to Turkey for the "final" procedure and took to Instagram to share an inspirational message to her fans.
It read: "This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself."
She captioned the image: Major surgery in 24 hours it’s all about my time now #westie."
Back in 2018, Danniella underwent a rib insertion procedure after osteoporosis - a health condition which weakens the bones in the body - caused her cheekbones and gums to rot.
She has also had lip filler and Botox, as well as surgery on her face, in order to feel like her best self.
The actor’s fight with drug addiction has been documented publicly after Danniella underwent a nose reconstruction in 2002 after her septum collapsed from cocaine abuse.
During the peak of her addiction, Daniella would reportedly take up to five grams of the drug per day, spending almost £250,000 on her addiction.
She previously said she was "a bit nervous but I'm excited" about going under the knife.
It is expected to be her fifth surgery following other trips to Turkey.
Back in February she tweeted: "I've just had surgery". She however didn't specify what it was, though it had been in response to a comment about her nose.
In April last year, it appeared that Danniella underwent another procedure, after she was spotted out with a bandage over her nose.
To celebrate her 50th birthday this year, Danniella has vowed to get in the “best shape of my life” having enlisted the help of a personal trainer, in the form of former footballer, Miles Addison.
