Danilo responds to viral deleted 'limping' clip after Rangers injury fear

Rangers striker Danilo has responded to a deleted clip of him on social media that sparked fears he was limping and not fully fit.

The Brazilian striker was filmed walking out of the tunnel ahead of the match against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League.

However, the clip was later deleted prompting fears of an injury with fans convinced he was limping.

Philippe Clement ruled out the online injury conspiracy stating Danilo has always had a unique walk.

Now, Danilo has broken his silence on the matter ahead of the Premier Sports Cup tie against St Johnstone.

"I have seen that, I was laughing. I spoke with the manager afterwards," he said on Premier Sports.

"I think everybody ahs their own way of walking and then obviously for me, I was like 'Oh, I didn't know I walked like that'.

"At the end of the day it is what it is - I want to keep being me.

"I am 100 per cent fit so that's great. I have been working really hard. Right now I think I can prove how fit I am."

Philippe Clement had commented: “Dani always has that kind of walk - look from the moment when he came into the club. I’ve been watching him for a long time.

"I wanted to get him to Brugge when he was at Ajax and wasn’t playing there and he had that walk also at that moment so nobody has to worry about that. There’s nothing going on with him.

"I wanted to put him in, that was the idea, but the circumstances of the game were not there. But people will see him in the next couple of weeks. They don’t need to worry.

"He’s had seven months out and you need time to gain match fitness and to get the minutes at the right moment. It depends on the scenario of the game.”
