Former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge has sent a message of thanks after appearing as a pundit for Sky Sports.
The ex-Reds striker was working for Sky Sports for their coverage of Liverpool’s clash against Chelsea in the Premier League on Tuesday. The match saw a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge between two of Sturridge’s former teams.
Sturridge signed for Liverpool in January 2013 from Chelsea and went on to score 68 goals in 160 appearances for the club. He left Anfield in 2019 after helping the Reds win the Champions League.

Sturridge wrote: “Blown away by all the love and positive feedback for my second appearance on @skysports.
“Was good to see everyone from both of my former teams. Banter and memories galore!
“P.s if you thought this outfit choice was controversial, thank God I didn’t wear my first choice.”
Since leaving Liverpool, Sturridge went on to have spells with Turkish club Trabzonspor and Australian outfit Perth Glory. He has been without a club since July last year.
