Daniel O'Donnell leaves viewers in tears after emotional surprise appearance on BBC show

Viewers were left teary-eyed after a special guest appearance on the latest episode of Stacey Solomon's Sort Your life Out on BBC One.

The series sees presenter Stacey Solomon visit homes that have become overrun with clutter, working with a team of experts to tidy up some unnecessary belongings.

In this particular episode, viewers were left feeling emotional as Sue, a grandmother of six, was surprised by a special guest at the end of her decluttering.

Throughout the course of the show, Sue explained that in the past she had been a carer for her mother who passed away at the age of 101 two years ago, after which she brought all of her mother's possessions into her home as she was unable to part with them.

As the team set about sorting out the home, they stumbled across a large collection of Daniel O’Donnell memorabilia, including DVDs and signed Christmas cards. Soon it emerged that Sue’s late mother was a Daniel O’Donnell super fan and even kept in touch with the entertainer.

Due to how much of a fan Sue’s mother was, the experts decided to make a fan wall containing the merchandise which Sue was overwhelmed with it stating that her mother “would love it”.

It was during this part of the show that host Stacey revealed a “very special guest” was on the other end of a phone call and surprised her with Daniel O’Donnell live on a video call set up in the other room.

Daniel joked to Sue that he was fearful “he might be thrown out with all the rubbish!”.

Speaking very highly of her mother, Daniel fondly remembered that he “knew her so well”.

“I talked to Joan many times on the phone, and she was a beautiful lady. Sue, you were so good to her with bringing her to shows," he added.

“You deserve this time that you are getting, and your mother would be so thrilled that this happened for you”.
