Irish country music star, Daniel O’Donnell, has emerged as the hot favourite to replace Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show today, according to Ladbrokes.
Since Tubs announced his departure, Claire Byrne has been the bookies favourite, but following a surge in support overnight, country music icon O’Donnell has shot into the top spot.
He is now the even-money favourite to take over the chat show gig with Ladbrokes.
Speaking about the new trends pointing towards Daniel, Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “While there has been no shortage of names in the mix for the Late Late Show job, we have been particularly floored by the support for Daniel O’Donnell.
“If this latest money is anything to go by, Daniel won’t just be at the helm of the Late Late Country Special once a year, but could become a permanent fixture on our screens every Friday night”.
