Tottenham fans have been told by Simon Jordan that there is a "distinct possibility" that Harry Kane will remain at the club this summer in the face of interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The Spurs striker is a wanted man, with his contract expiring in 12 months' time and a deal being targeted by Real Madrid and United to sign the 29-year-old this summer. The striker scored 30 goals in the Premier League this season, netting his highest tally since 2017/18 despite a poor season for Spurs, who finished eighth.
This has left Kane without Champions League football for next season, leading to speculation that he will push for a move to ensure that he is playing on the biggest stage. However, Spurs chairman Levy is thought to be driving a hard bargain for a deal in the region of £100 million, despite the risk of losing him for nothing next summer.
Former Crystal Palace owner and TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has detailed private conversations with Levy which suggest that Kane could be kept at the club. Jordan said on TalkSPORT: "I've always felt, and that's because I've had a conversation with Daniel about it, that they believe there's a distinct possibility he'll stay.
"And of course it's the background noise rumbling around it and other situations manifest themselves, like Benzema going out of Real Madrid and interest in Harry Kane stimulated by that departure. I think there's a distinct possibility that he will stay.
"I just can't get my head around the idea that Daniel will allow him to stay for a year and then let him go on a free. It flies in the face of everything that Daniel Levy does."
Levy has often driven a hard bargain during his time as Spurs chairman, working in the role on behalf of owner Joe Lewis. His ownership has seen him become renowned as a stubborn negotiator, and Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez will be aware of this fact, having signed both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale from Spurs a decade ago.
Both United and Real are keen to sign a striker this summer, with Erik ten Hag having admitted as such publicly. Real, meanwhile, are though to have prioritised Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema, with the Frenchman having left the club to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad earlier this week.
However, with new manager Ange Postecoglou having been hired by Daniel Levy, there is expected to be a renewed sense of optimism in North London. This could lead to Kane being willing to give the new regime a chance before being free to speak with clubs in January ahead of his deal expiring next June.
