Tottenham's side is settled, they have depth, and Antonio Conte is a happy man. With a world-class coach, elite forwards and meticulous workers throughout the squad, this is perhaps the best-looking squad not only on paper but also on the pitch for at least five years.
It has led to quiet optimism that has spread across the team and the all-defining aura of winning that a manager like Conte brings. Despite below-par performances against Chelsea and Wolves, Spurs earned four points. They recovered from a goal down against Southampton to win and battled to a point against West Ham.
Although it hasn't been the cleanest of starts to the season, it has been impressive nonetheless and has justified the pre-season hype in north London.

If there was one area that looks short, it's the massively important wing-backs, especially on the right. With a fledgling relationship between Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic on the left, there are a crowd of bodies all tussling to become the number one choice on the right, none of which appear ready.
Djed Spence is still raw and has only been trusted with one minute of substitute action so far. The 22-year-old is one for the future but needs game time to improve under Conte, whereas the Italian will be prepared to wait for proof of having earned a spot in the side first.
Matt Doherty has struggled with injuries and hasn't been able to reignite any form in the few minutes he has received this season. Emerson Royal has so far been the preferred choice, but his attacking limitations make him expendable, with Lucas Moura providing makeshift competition.
Whilst depth is good, not having a defined first choice that is completely in Conte's good books is a worry, but it is almost the only worry at this stage of the season.
It could have been very different for Tottenham, though. Playing in Newcastle is seemingly the perfect solution to this problem. At 31, Kieran Trippier is unlikely to have another big move in him, but the versatile England defender could slot in nicely into Conte's current system.
Having made a name for himself under Mauricio Pochettino at right-back, replacing Kyle Walker impressively after the now Manchester City full-back left in 2017. Trippier became a common pick for Gareth Southgate and played a massive role in Spurs' journey to the Champions League final in 2019, including a standout World Cup performance in 2018 too.
Although issues started to appear for Pochettino after the final, Daniel Levy's openness to sell Trippier to Atletico Madrid for just £20m was a surprise, and now it looks like a mistake further down the line. Whilst Spurs chopped and changed, going from Pochettino to Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo to Conte, Trippier enjoyed two and a half years in Spain under Diego Simeone and maintained his England spot as well.
Now he's back in the Premier League and showing his quality. Trippier will look even more like one that Conte could be doing right now.
