Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto.
The Reds made their move late in the January transfer window to secure a £49m deal for the Colombia international.
The 25-year-old was believed to have had a £67million release clause in his contract, but Porto have been forced to take a financial hit after finishing third in their Champions League group behind Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
As a result, the Reds' bid of £37m with a further £12m has been a successful one.
Liverpool look to have beaten Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Diaz, who were heavily linked with the winger before the Reds stepped in.

Spurs were said to think they were well down the road over a deal to sign Diaz, only for Liverpool to swoop in at the eleventh hour.
According to a report in The Telegraph , Liverpool’s move to sign Diaz from under Tottenham’s noses has not gone down well in North London.
The report states that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy - who first found out about the news on Thursday - was furious over the way Liverpool’s recruitment team scuppered their chances of signing Diaz.
It has been claimed that Levy threatened to report the Reds recruitment team to Reds principal owner John W Henry and Mike Gordon.
However, the report adds that Henry and co were “delighted” with the strategy used by Liverpool in their pursuit to bring Diaz to Merseyside.
The report went on to provide further details of Liverpool’s pursuit of Diaz, adding that Diaz met with Jurgen Klopp over FaceTime, with the pair said to have got on well.
Porto, reportedly, asked Liverpool to pay a cash injection of €8m by this coming Monday - and the Reds agreed.
Liverpool sent a delegation out to meet Diaz in Argentina over the weekend, with a medical being completed.
If all goes to plan, it is possible Diaz will be able to travel to Liverpool towards the end of next week.
