They've been here before, Tottenham Hotspur.
The last time they completed a full season under one manager now stretches back to the 2018/19 campaign, when they reached the Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino only to fall short against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. Since parting ways with Pochettino, Spurs have had Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason, Nuno Espirito Santo and of course Antonio Conte at the helm.
It looks, for all intents and purposes, that the Italian's time in N17 is about to come to an untimely end. His outburst after his side threw away a 3-1 lead at bottom of the table Southampton seems to have been the final nail in the coffin in a sorry end to a tumultuous tenure.
There will of course be plenty who say they saw this coming. As elite of a manager Conte is, his trophy haul speaks for itself, he has never hidden his true feelings when in charge and his longest stint in charge of any club is just three years at Juventus.
Hindsight is 20/20 however, and when Spurs pipped bitter rivals Arsenal to the top 4 just 10 months ago, few would have predicted such a dramatic fall from grace.

With Spurs in such a good position to push on last summer, the debate will now be where the blame lies for the disappointment so far this season. There is no denying that Conte received strong financial backing - £172million on new recruits is no small investment.
However, more would have been expected given the calibre of signings. Richarlison has yet to score a league goal, Perisic has failed to reach the heights he did at Inter Milan, whilst Djed Spence was loaned out in January after failing to force his way into the starting XI and others have struggled with fitness and injuries.
Conte made no secret of what he thought of performances, and the stand-out line must be "20 years there is the owner and they never won something but why?" Maybe a slight lack of respect for Spurs' 2008 League Cup trophy lift, but it was an extraordinary thing for a manager to say.
So, football.london wants to know what Tottenham fans think. Where does the blame lie for where Spurs find themselves now? Should Conte be sacked immediately, or is there still a season to salvage with a top 4 finish?
