Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson made a mind-boggling decision to check himself out of the game against the Houston Texans on Sunday because he was tired. The Colts placed him on the bench after they ended up losing.
Elsewhere, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix set career highs across the board as he led Denver to a 28-14 win. The Broncos are 5-3 and do not share the Colts’ problem.
That can be attributed to the play of Nix, who appears to be getting comfortable with Sean Payton’s offense each week.
That’s what Daniel Jeremiah, who appeared on The Rich Eisen Show, said this week. Jeremiah spoke highly about Nix and his play. He also believes that Nix has leadership traits that help balance out the Broncos, as they lean more onto the defensive side.
“He’s got some of those winner traits,” Jeremiah said of Nix.
Up next, the Broncos have a monster AFC matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, as although it’s the midpoint of the season, the winner can play a pivotal role in the playoff picture as the season progresses.
