With free agency mostly wrapped up, the Denver Broncos have turned their attention to the 2024 NFL draft.
When looking at the team’s projected depth chart, three positions of need stand out: quarterback, cornerback and pass rusher. Quarterback, of course, is the most glaring need.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah recently released his updated rankings of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL draft, and 19 players will be of particular interest to Broncos fans.
Jeremiah has seven cornerbacks, six quarterbacks and six pass rushers listed among the top 50 prospects on his big board. (Because the Broncos play a base 3-4 defense, we have edge defenders listed as outside linebackers.)
Caleb Williams (No. 1), Drake Maye (No. 5), QB Jayden Daniels (No. 6), J.J. McCarthy (No. 20), Bo Nix (No. 29) and Michael Penix (No. 33) are the top-rated quarterbacks. McCarthy being ranked 20th on Jeremiah’s big board does not necessarily mean he will be available at pick No. 12, though.
With the draft now three weeks away, here’s a look at Jeremiah’s top-ranked prospects at Denver’s key positions of need.
