Celtic have rejected a second transfer bid from West Ham for Daniel Cummings.
The Premier League club had an initial approach for the 18-year-old rebuffed by Parkhead chiefs on Monday.
West Ham then tabled an improved offer - in excess of the first £500k fee - but that has also been booted out according to Sky Sports.
The London club were keen to sign Cummings this month after terms were agreed on a pre-contract move for the summer.
Cummings is out of contract at Celtic at the end of the season but it is understood club officials are preparing a new deal.
However, Cummings had agreed terms with West Ham with the English club intending to finalise a pre-contract move this week.
West Ham will not continue talks over a transfer move in the winter window after having two bids knocked back.

Should Cummings sign a pre-contract move to West Ham then Celtic would be due £350k in training compensation.
Asked about Cummings in his post-match press conference on Sunday, Brendan Rodgers said: “He was with the second team yesterday and he was ill in the warm-up, so he didn't play.
“I believe there's interest from another club for him, but that's been the case with a lot of our young players.
“You get to a certain age where they have their contract running out, and then they have a decision to make.
UPDATE: Celtic have rejected West Ham’s improved offer for striker Daniel Cummings.#WHUFC will no longer pursue a deal in this window. The 18yo agreed terms on a pre-contract and the EPL club will look to finalise that this week. Celtic will be due £350,000 in compensation. https://t.co/f27s75Weqv

“Do they stay and follow the example of a Callum McGregor, for example, trust the club, be patient and knowing that you might not be right ready at 17, 18, but you have to be a special talent to be.
“Can you just be patient and wait a little bit longer? Or do you do what a lot of players have done and take the opportunity at 18 to look elsewhere?
“So, I think that's the situation that young Daniel is with his agents. We will just wait and see what happens.”
