Daniel Brunskill liked fit with Titans because ‘they like to run the damn ball’

On Monday, the Tennessee Titans introduced their newest players who were acquired via free agency last week, and versatile offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill was one of them.

Tennessee signed Brunskill on a two-year, $5.5 million deal and the thought is that he’ll assume one of the guard spots. However, the veteran lineman is the definition of versatility, as he’s played all five spots upfront during his career.

When it comes to where he’s most comfortable, Brunskill said it’s on the right side at either guard or tackle. The 29-year-old did add that he isn’t sure where he’ll end up yet but is down for whatever the team asks.

With the Titans having Nicholas Petit-Frere on the right side, Brunskill’s best bet is to assume one of the two guard spots, and more likely than not he’ll take Nate Davis’ spot at right guard.

On top of his willingness to fit in wherever, Brunskill’s mentality sounds like a perfect fit for head coach Mike Vrabel and the Titans.

“I’m also not afraid to hit anybody in the mouth,” Brunskill said, per Terry McCormick of Titan Insider. “That’s part of what I love about football.”

He also added that the reason he liked the fit with the Titans was because “they like to run the damn ball.”
