Daniel Bedingfield has fans swooning over new photo as he 'ages like fine wine'

Daniel Bedingfield left fans swooning over a recent photo that he posted on social media, with some suggesting that he's "aged like fine wine" since the peak of his career.

The singer, now 42, is best known for a handful of chart-topping singles released in the early 2000s, including his debut Gotta Get Thru This and later If You're Not the One.

Some fans of the musician - who is the older brother of fellow singer Natasha Bedingfield, 40 - have said he looks quite different now though, after he shared a new photo.

It shows the Brit Award winner looking at the camera with his rugged beard and a hint of chest hair on show, with Daniel having said it was taken by photographer Lance Reis.

He had shared it with his 16,000 followers on Instagram a few days ago, with the post having featured a caption about him "loving the strength returning to [his] heart finally."

Daniel said that he was now "free," with him referencing the Covid-19 pandemic, recent political events and seemingly being "stuck" abroad in the caption of the social media post.

Fans responded to the post in the comments section with much praise for the singer, with them describing him as "handsome," "gorgeous as ever," "fit" and "mighty fine".

Some fans responded "god damn" and "holy smokes," with one follower writing that the older Daniel "looks like a fitness [or] nature guru," with others similarly surprised by his look.

"You look like a completely different person," commented one follower in response to the photo. Several others wrote "like fine wine," seemingly suggesting he's aged well.

The photo was referred to as a "striking portrait" by one fan, with another said: "You're a gorgeous man beast." Another commented: "So hotttttt dude, [you are] really gorgeous."

Daniel released his debut single Gotta Get Thru This in 2001. He later released If You're Not The One and Never Gonna Leave Your Side - which also topped the charts in the UK.

His debut album, titled Gotta Get Thru This, reached Number 2 upon release in 2002, whilst its follow-up Second First Impression charted at Number 8 two years later.

In more recent years, he was a judge on The X Factor in New Zealand and appeared in the West End musical The War of the Worlds. He's written songs for other artists.
