Dancing on Ice's Torvill and Dean expose 'unseen' secret about final

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have let a big cat out of the bag on an unseen secret from the Dancing on Ice final involving the iconic Bolero routine.

Two days before this year's grand finale, the Olympic legends appeared on another ITV show, Good Morning Britain, joining hosts Ben Shepherd and Charlotte Hawkins in the studio. As well as praising this year's finalists - Brendan Cole, Kimberley Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne, told the presenters and viewers at home what they could expect from Sunday's show.

It's Dancing on Ice tradition for the final two couples to skate their own routine inspired by Bolero, the number that won Torvill and Dean gold at the Winter Olympics back in 1984. The song and its famous ending has given us many memorable moments over the years as champions like Ray Quinn, Suzanne Shaw and Jake Quickenden have wowed on the ice.

Ben remarked that it must be 'heartbreaking' for the third place couple not to get to skate Bolero, adding it was always "the highlight," for him as a fan.

Ben said: "They've all trained up their Boleros, you must have seen all three so far," as Chris interrupted: "Actually, they've been hiding them away from us. That'll be the first we see it."

The host then asked: "It must be heartbreaking for one of those couples that doesn't get to perform that?" Giving his reply, Chris let something slip that will have come as a surprise to viewers as he responded "They get to perform it on the Sunday and record it; so they will do it in some form and I think that gets released, but not live on the show."

At the time of writing, Regan was favourite to win on Sunday, with Brendan in second and Kimberley third.
