Dani Dyer is said to be torn between her father, Danny, and her footballer boyfriend, Jarrod Bowen, amid plans for her family to star in a Kardashians style reality show.
Dani herself is no stranger to the world of reality TV as the 25-year-old was catapulted to fame after starring on Love Island in 2018 – which she won with then-boyfriend Jack Fincham, before the romance collapsed six short months later.
The star herself went on to date since convicted fraudster Sammy Kimmence – who was jailed last year for conning elderly men out of tens of thousands of pounds – and she shares a one-year-old son named Santiago with him.
Since Sammy was jailed, Dani has found happiness once again with 25-year-old West Ham player Jarrod – but her romance could be set for a collision with family loyalty as 44-year-old EastEnders star dad Danny wants Dani and her boyfriend to appear in a new reality show.
A source told Heat magazine: “Danny wants to do a fly-on-the-wall reality show that will feature everyone.
“She’s really worried what Jarrod will think, especially as he’s being tipped for an England cap.
“Things are going really well and it’s getting serious between them, she doesn’t want them to become a joke celeb couple who overshare everything.”
Rumour has it that Danny wants to have his family and their respective partners appear in a new reality show all about the Dyers – however a spokesperson for Dani has denied there are any plans for the Dyer family to star in a reality show, telling the Mirror there are "zero plans" for such a project.
Dani’s fear of being seen as a national joke following her catastrophic past romances with 30-year-old Jack and 25-year-old Sammy could prove to be a huge spanner in the works for Danny’s plans should such a show end up appearing further down the pipeline.
Danny himself said he is planning new projects as he is set to bow out of EastEnders later this year after playing pub landlord Mick Carter on the soap for the past nine years.
Discussing his decision to turn his back on the soap, Danny said last month: "There's no big story around it, really. Other than the fact I've decided to go off and try some other stuff.”
Since then, rumours have swirled that the star has been offered a big money deal to create a reality series about his family for Channel 4.
A source claimed last month: “Once Danny is a free agent later this year, the sky’s the limit. TV production companies are falling over themselves to film him and his family.
“Channel 4 made him a lucrative offer that he’s been tempted by and he knows his family would make really lively, fun TV as they’re all so down-to-earth and people at home can relate to them."
The figure circulated in reports is £1 million for the reality show deal.
Danny has a long acting career under his belt – with his first role being way back in 1993 with an appearance on iconic crime series Prime Suspect, which was fronted by Oscar winner Helen Mirren.
He has been married to childhood sweetheart Jo Mas in 2016 – after being a couple since 1992 – and they have a daughter named Sunnie, 14, and an eight-year-old son named Artie as well as Dani.
