Dani Dyer has discussed her struggles with anxiety as a mother in a new documentary.
The Love Island winner, who has son Santiago, two, and is currently pregnant with twins, opened up about the pressure and loneliness she experienced being a first-time mum.
“Anxiety is a topic that everyone’s heard about, but we still don’t openly talk about our experiences,” she said while promoting the E4 show.
“It can affect anyone, but as a young mum, it can be overwhelming.
“I’m really excited to... explore this topic, remove the stigma associated with mental health and meet other mums who have struggled with the pressures of what a supposed ‘good mum’ looks like.”
The 26-year-old, whose upcoming hour-long film is called, Dani Dyer: Is This Anxiety?, took to social media to ask if anyone else was struggling with parenthood and anxiety.
She announced in January that she was expecting twins with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen.
She shares son Santiago with ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, who left her distraught and a single mother when he was jailed in 2021 for scamming vulnerable pensioners out of £34,000.
The reality TV star’s father, actor Danny Dyer, recently spoke about spending time with her now that she’s moved back in with him while her new home with Bowen is being renovated.
“Dani’s only got a couple of months now before she gives birth and she’s doing so well," the former EastEnders star told Closer magazine.
“She’s actually moved back in with us while her new house gets sorted and it’s been so lovely having her around.
“I’ve got so much respect for that kid, she’s amazing.”
