Dani Dyer refuses to drink tap water fearing Government is plotting to kill us

Dani Dyer was left cringing during her appearance on Good Morning Britain today after host Kate Garraway pointed out an odd suggestion she made in her new book.

The former Love Island star, 24, admitted that it was "stupid" as Kate and co-host Ben Shephard teased her.

Dani was on GMB this morning to promote her new book 'What Would Dani Do?', which aims to explain what it's like to be a teenager.

Kate remarked: "One of the things that struck us was that you said, 'Don't drink water out of the tap because that's how the government is going to kill us.' Are you dangerously dehydrated?"

"No, not at all," Dani replied laughing. "I used to study history and I learnt all about cholera - now it sounds so silly - and I just thought, 'If that disease could kill that many people, how has it changed?

"I know it sounds silly, I sound really stupid, but I just can't drink tap water."

Kate continued: "So if the government was going to kill us, you think that tap water is the way they would do it?"

"Yeah," Dani replied.

"That's quite a conspiracy theory," Ben remarked.

Dani replied: "I believe in it. I'm so passionate!

"I feel quite rude if I go round someone's house. I will drink it but I'm sort of looking at it [like]..."
