Recognising his impressive honours list after the game, the Liverpool right-back posted an image on his Instagram page holding the FA Cup with the caption of 'completed the set'. This prompted a response from Barcelona defender Dani Alves, an individual who knows a thing or two about winning titles himself.
Alves is the most decorated player in football history, having claimed over 40 major honours during his glittering career as a professional and told Alexander-Arnold: “Congratulations ma bud. Top-level.”
Cleary an admirer of the West Derby-born star, this is not the first time the Brazilian has sung the praises of the Reds' local hero. Speaking to FourFourTwo in March, Alves said: "I admire Trent Alexander-Arnold very much.
"He’s a fantastic footballer – this guy has got world-class skills. I also like to watch Reece James and Achraf Hakimi. They mix strength with technique and are also great players. The three of them obviously have different characteristics and styles, but they all know how to do the job."
