A 32-year-old man pleaded guilty to causing the death of a 66-year-old grandfather by dangerous driving. Adil Rehman, of Skipton Circus, Sneinton, attended Nottingham Crown Court on bail to enter his plea to the allegation.
He admitted he caused the death after he was driving a Mercedes C300 in Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, on August 25 last year. Arshad Rana died three weeks after a collision in Ilkeston Road.
No more details were given about how the incident happened or Mr Rana's injuries. Families from both sides attended the short plea hearing on Friday (October 7) before Judge Stuart Rafferty KC.
Rehman was further bailed to attend on November 7. An interim driving ban was imposed.
