Dancing on Ice winner Sonny Jay has shared the sad news he has split from his fiancée Lauren Faith.
It's reported that the former couple parted ways after a long-distance relationship proved to be too challenging.
Sonny confirmed the news on Instagram on Thursday morning, telling his fans: "After five years of Lauren and I being together, we've decided that sadly we're parting ways. We have so much love and respect for each other and we will both continue to support each other in everything we do.
"For now, we both need to focus on ourselves and our careers and we're both ready and excited to start a new chapter separately.
"Lauren in the most talented person I know and deserves every success.
"Life really works in mysterious ways and what's meant to be will be."
Music producer Lauren reportedly found herself spending more time in Los Angeles, due to her work commitments, while Sonny is primarily based in Europe.
"Sonny and Lauren have called off the wedding," a source close to the couple has told The Sun.
"It's been a busy time for both of them since Sonny won Dancing on Ice and Lauren's music producing started taking off.
"They're both determined to focus on their careers and were struggling to make the long-distance work as Lauren spent months in Los Angeles, while Sonny worked in London."
The insider added that both parties are keen for a "fresh start" and have wiped all traces of one another off social media.
Lauren also confirmed the split on Instagram - explaining that London is no longer a city that makes her happy.
"After 5 beautiful years me & Sonny have sadly parted ways," the music producer began in the statement shared to her Instagram Stories.
"You all see how driven and focused we both are with our careers and with that being said I don't want to spend much more time in London building mine in a city that doesn't make me happy anymore.
She added: "We have so much respect for each other and will remain good friends.
"Sonny is a ray of sunshine in so many people's life and I'm grateful he was in mine."
The Capital Breakfast star popped the question to Lauren with a romantic proposal during a holiday in Greece back in 2020.
Writing to his Instagram followers to share the good news at the time, Sonny Jay said: "SHE SAID YES. Couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of my life with the most beautiful soul I know. [Lauren Faith I love you so much xx"
